Data We Handle

AI Processing & Your Data

Ordyn's AI features — including the daily briefing, natural language task creation, and smart booking suggestions — use your task and calendar context to generate personalised outputs. When this data is processed:

• Only the minimum context required is sent (e.g. task titles and due dates, not your full notes)
• Data is anonymised and never linked to your name, email, or Apple ID
• AI responses are generated on-demand and not stored by the AI provider
• You can disable AI features at any time in Settings → AI Preferences

We use trusted AI infrastructure providers that are contractually bound to process data only for the purposes we define and never to train models on your personal data.

AI Search & Local Business Data

When you use Ordyn's AI booking feature (e.g. "find a dentist near me"), the app sends your search query and approximate location to a third-party local search API to retrieve business listings, ratings, and contact details. This request:

• Does not include your name, Apple ID, or any personal identifier
• Uses only the search intent you typed or spoke
• Uses your device's location only when you explicitly grant location access
• Is not stored by Ordyn beyond the current session

You can revoke location access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Ordyn.

Team & Delegation Features

If you use Ordyn's team features, task assignments and workload data for your workspace are stored in an encrypted cloud environment isolated to your team. Team members can only see tasks explicitly shared with them — Ordyn does not expose one member's personal tasks to another without your action. Team data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

Calendar & Contacts Access

Ordyn requests access to your device Calendar to display events alongside tasks in the unified view and to detect scheduling conflicts. Calendar data is read locally on your device and is not uploaded to Ordyn's servers. You can manage calendar access in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

If you use the AI booking feature to add appointments, Ordyn may request permission to write an event to your calendar. This always requires an explicit tap from you before any calendar write occurs.

Payments & In-App Purchases

Ordyn's premium features are purchased through Apple's StoreKit framework. Ordyn never handles or stores payment information. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Security

Your data is protected with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Cloud-synced data (for team features) is encrypted end-to-end. We regularly review our security practices and do not retain data beyond what is necessary to operate the app.

Children's Privacy

Ordyn is designed for professional and personal productivity use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through Ordyn, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

GDPR & CCPA Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete any personal data we hold. You may also object to processing or request restriction. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. Because most Ordyn data is stored locally on your device, many requests are fulfilled simply by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of Ordyn after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
