Alarms
Tap the + button on the main screen to create a new alarm. Set your desired time, choose which days it repeats, pick a wake-up task, and select your alarm sound. Tap Save and you're done.
Yes — you can create as many alarms as you need. Each alarm can have its own time, repeat schedule, task type, and sound. Tap the toggle next to any alarm to enable or disable it without deleting it.
Snooze is available between wake-up task attempts. You can set the snooze duration (1–30 minutes) or set the snooze limit to 0 to disable it entirely — forcing you to complete the task to dismiss the alarm.
Open any alarm by tapping it, then tap Sound. You can choose from the built-in alarm tones, select a gentle rise (gradual volume increase), or pick a system ringtone. Your selection is previewed immediately.
Gentle Rise gradually increases the alarm volume over 30 seconds, rather than starting at full volume. It's a softer way to wake up. You can enable it per alarm under the Sound settings.
Wake Tasks
Wake tasks are challenges you must complete to dismiss your alarm. They prevent you from mindlessly tapping snooze while half-asleep. RiseAlarm AI supports Math Challenge, Step Counter, QR Code Scan, and Memory Game tasks.
Set up the QR Code task in an alarm's settings. The App generates a unique QR code — print it or display it on another screen and place it somewhere away from your bed (bathroom mirror, kitchen, front door). When the alarm fires, you must physically go scan that QR code to dismiss it. Camera permission is required.

Tip: Place the QR code somewhere that keeps you up — like the kitchen where you'd make coffee.
When this task is active, you must walk a set number of steps (you choose 10–100) to dismiss the alarm. RiseAlarm AI uses your iPhone's motion sensors to count steps in real time. Motion & Fitness permission is required.

To configure: tap the alarm → Wake TaskSteps → set your step goal.
Yes. Open the alarm → tap Wake Task → select None. The alarm will then dismiss with a simple tap, without any challenge required.
Camera permission is required for the QR Code task. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → RiseAlarm AI and make sure it's set to Allow. Then return to the App. If it still doesn't work, force-quit the App and reopen it.
Sleep Tracking
RiseAlarm AI uses your iPhone's or Apple Watch's motion sensors to detect movement patterns associated with different sleep stages (light, deep, REM). Keep your device nearby while sleeping (nightstand or under your pillow for iPhone, or wear your Apple Watch). The App automatically generates a sleep summary when your alarm fires.
Sleep tracking uses low-power motion sensors and is highly optimized to minimize battery drain. On average, overnight sleep tracking uses 3–6% of iPhone battery. We recommend plugging in your iPhone overnight for the best experience.
Yes. Go to Profile → Settings → Apple Health and enable Sync Sleep Data. RiseAlarm AI will write your sleep records to Apple Health after each night. You can manage or revoke this permission at any time from the Health app → Sharing → Apps → RiseAlarm AI.
Each morning after your alarm fires, RiseAlarm AI generates a personalized insight based on your sleep data — including your sleep quality score, deep sleep duration, peak focus windows, and energy level forecast for the day. These appear on your wake-up screen and in the App's Today view.
Tap the Stats tab at the bottom of the App to view your full sleep history, weekly averages, Rise Streak, and trend charts. You can also see a detailed breakdown of any individual night by tapping on it.
Apple Watch
The Watch app installs automatically when you install RiseAlarm AI on your iPhone. If it doesn't appear on your Watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone → App Store → Installed on iPhone and look for RiseAlarm AI, then tap Install.
Yes — when an alarm fires, your Apple Watch receives a haptic notification showing the active alarm and wake task. You can view your task and interact with certain tasks directly from the Watch. However, QR code scanning still requires your iPhone's camera.
Yes. When you wear your Apple Watch overnight, RiseAlarm AI uses its accelerometer for more accurate sleep stage detection. This is more precise than iPhone-only tracking. Make sure the Watch is on your wrist and charged above 30% before bed.
Try these steps:
1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
2. Force-quit RiseAlarm AI on both iPhone and Watch, then reopen on iPhone first.
3. If the issue persists, go to Watch app → RiseAlarm AI → Re-pair.
4. As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall the Watch app from the Watch app on your iPhone.
Notifications & Critical Alerts
Check these common causes in order:

1. Notifications enabled? Settings → Notifications → RiseAlarm AI → Allow Notifications must be ON.
2. Critical Alerts enabled? Settings → Notifications → RiseAlarm AI → Critical Alerts must be ON to sound through Silent/DND.
3. Volume: Make sure your iPhone's volume is turned up — Critical Alerts use the ringer volume, not media volume.
4. Focus / DND: Without Critical Alerts, alarms will be silenced by Focus modes. Enable Critical Alerts to bypass them.
5. App killed: On iOS 16+, if the App is completely force-quit, some alarms may not fire. Keep the app in the background.
Critical Alerts are a special iOS notification type that sounds an alarm even when your iPhone is on Silent mode or Do Not Disturb. RiseAlarm AI will request permission for Critical Alerts during setup.

To enable manually: Settings → Notifications → RiseAlarm AI → Critical Alerts → ON.
Yes — as long as Critical Alerts are enabled. Critical Alerts are designed to bypass Focus, Do Not Disturb, and Silent mode. If Critical Alerts are disabled, your alarm will be silenced during Focus/DND.
Go to Settings → Notifications → RiseAlarm AI to customize which notifications you receive. You can disable badge notifications, sound for non-alarm notifications, or all notifications except the alarms themselves. Within the App, go to Profile → Settings → Notifications to control rise streak reminders and streak milestone alerts.
Account & Data
No — core alarm features work without an account. Creating an account (with Sign in with Apple or email) enables cloud backup of your alarm configurations, sleep history sync, and Rise Streak persistence across devices.
In the App: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers within 30 days.

Alternatively, email us at aleem.rz@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process it within 48 hours.
Go to Profile → Settings → Export Data. Your sleep history will be exported as a CSV file that you can save, share, or import into other apps. Sleep data synced to Apple Health is always accessible from the Health app.
We collect alarm configurations, sleep records, Rise Streak history, and basic device info for crash reporting. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
RiseAlarm AI subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple. To manage, cancel, or change your subscription: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → RiseAlarm AI. You can also visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Troubleshooting
Email us at aleem.rz@gmail.com with the subject "Crash Report" and include: your iPhone model, iOS version, app version (Profile → Settings → About), and a description of what you were doing when the crash occurred. Screenshots are very helpful.
Make sure Motion & Fitness permission is enabled: Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → RiseAlarm AI. Hold your iPhone naturally while walking — steps are counted from the device motion, so keep it in your hand or pocket (not flat on a desk).
For the most accurate sleep tracking:
• Place your iPhone on your nightstand or nearby (within 1 meter).
• Or wear your Apple Watch overnight for better accuracy.
• Avoid leaving the phone across the room — the motion sensors need to detect your movements.
• Make sure the App is not force-quit before sleeping.
Rise Streaks reset if you miss a day without completing an alarm's wake task. If you believe your streak reset due to a technical error (e.g., app crash or sync issue), email us at aleem.rz@gmail.com with your account email and the date of the issue, and we'll look into it.
Go to Profile → Settings → Advanced → Reset All Settings. This clears your local alarm configurations and preferences but keeps your account and cloud-backed sleep history. To clear everything including cloud data, use Delete Account instead.
